About the Disability Cinema Coalition
The Disability Cinema Coalition (DCC) is a network of organizations dedicated to the empowerment and inclusion of people with disabilities within the Cinematic Arts.
The DCC is committed to:
(1) Promoting Disability Empowerment through the development and production of films dedicated to themes of disability empowerment, community inclusion, and inclusive practices; and
(2) Working with DCC member organizations, Industry & Indie Studios, Assistive Technology & Communication Companies, and Cinematic Arts Educators & Professionals, to develop a proactive Disability Empowerment Pipeline.
The Pipeline will offer opportunities for individuals with disabilities to actively participate in the Cinematic Arts through mentoring programs, customized training workshops, and on-boarding internships/placement within the Industry intended to provide meaningful on-the-job training and the critical experience necessary to succeed within the Industry.
